Inspired by a page in my Helford sketchbook.
Usually I am on this walk early morning. Today it is 7pm, and it is still baking hot. A boat zips upriver to the throng around the corner of boats and people. This little stretch is quiet, beautiful, dazzling blue that disappears behind the headland. The grasses edge the footpath, their heads are rose in the evening sunlight. A little piece of heaven right here.
Framed in a white wood slab frame, overall size is 50.5 x 61cm.
