Mark Upton

Born in Penzance, Cornwall, Mark’s sculpture is rooted in the county’s ancient landscape and its long tradition of art shaped by sea, stone and story. Cornwall’s myths, standing stones, and restless Atlantic weather formed the foundation of his creative identity, strengthened through work with St Ives artists before he completed a degree in Fine Art Sculpture. After graduating, Mark received the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Grant to train in bronze casting at Le Blanc Fine Art — a defining apprenticeship that established his bronze practice and led to commissions and exhibitions across the UK and abroad.
