Down the valley, Glendurgan

Painted on Arches Huile paper, protected with a clear wax coat, mounted on board and framed with a St Ives moat frame in white wood which measures 8cm. 

I was overjoyed to be invited to participate in the Glendurgan Artists Day in May, and took my paints along. After warming up with a watercolour I spent several hours on this oil on paper study, of the beautiful view down through the trees through the valley which leads to Durgan. It was an overcast day which brought out the luminous green hues and exotic shapes of the tree fern leaves. This painting will be on display at the Fish Cellar, Durgan from 12th to 26th August, and available to purchase through this website, or by contacting me.
