Autumn sunrise over Helford, looking out to the bay

I love autumn, and the colours of the season. Orange triggers a feeling of joy, energy and hope. This painting is of a spectacular dawn over the mouth of the Helford River, looking across to Falmouth bay. Translucent layering of the paint captures the amber light illuminating the clouds, whilst the sea below is calm and colourless. One of the joys of early dog walks in the winter is witnessing Nature’s light show.
