Tranquility

These is a semi abstract landscape, inspired by the soft blues and pinks on a winter morning looking out to Nare Point and the mouth of the Helford. The paint is applied thickly, I wanted to make the light and sky appear solid. It is a painting that looks different in different lights as the textures of the paint emerge. The moody blue tone is a particular favourite of mine and is made up of Prussian Blue mixed with a little Unbleached Titanium White and a hint of Alazarin Crimson.
