A peaceful moment

A tranquil Grebe, the early morning light. I love painting these Helford scenes, that could look picture postcard if not careful, but I like to capture them at fleeting moments, a sunrise, an early morning, when no one is around, and drawing out some of the subtle tones alongside the blues or oranges, the soft greys and browns that is often a Cornish winter day. It is not always sunny in Cornwall and the misty murky days are sometimes the most beautiful.
