A Durgan morning

SOLD

This was the study to the larger “A day at Durgan” and was started on the beach painting plein air, onto linen board. It was finished in the studio, adding cold wax medium to help create the rock texture and add glazes for the water. I particularly love the effect of the dripping paint on the opposite shore that suggests the lichen clad branches of the ancient Helford rain forest.

Price includes framing in a beautiful St Ives white wood moat frame 8cm width, total outer dimensions will be 46 x 56cm
