This is a very personal, very happy, celebratory painting as I painted it in the weeks leading up to and after becoming a full time artist. It combines my favourite colour combinations of orange and dusky pink, with overlays of amber on blue creating a sea green turquoise. Oil paint mixed with cold wax medium creates deep textures and translucent glazes. This piece really makes my heart sing.
