The pink cloud and the dahlia

Our garden is full of dahlias from a soft tangerine to a deep purple. I absolutely adore them, so this my homage to them and the beautiful pink cloud that seems to greet each day at the moment. I love how the pink and orange almost vibrate together in this. I am getting a lot of joy and energy from these abstract flower paintings and letting my inner child really play with colour and shape without over thinking. A bit of a change from my usual Helford scenes but plants and flowers are another love of mine so it is nice to celebrate them in my art.
