The sanctuary of Frenchman's Creek

£ 575.00

Painted on Arches Huile paper, protected with a clear wax coat, mounted on board and framed with a St Ives tray frame in white wood which measures 8cm.

A return to a familiar scene. I am completely captivated by this view. The loom of the trees in front of the fading light, the flow of the tide snaking around the bend into this magical creek. With this painting I have looked at building the texture in the water of the dappled light and the way the tree shadows cast their shapes into the reflected pink of the sky. It is a place of peace and calm, a sanctuary.
