This is a new professional fine art giclee print of my original painting "A day at Durgan". It is printed on archive quality HahneMuhle Matt Fine Art smooth 310gsm Photo Rag paper. This is guaranteed for at least 125 years. Each print is individually numbered and embossed with a special artist signature stamp. The print image is 50 x 50cm with a white border of 3cm all round, making the total paper size 56 x 56cm.

This print will only be available for an edition run of 100.

This has always been a very popular painting with all who have viewed it. It is a favourite scene of many, and it started out with a pink primed canvas which I then worked back into, using solvent and tools to scrape back and reveal flashes of pink in the sky and boat reflections. Cold wax gives the extra texture to capture the granite of the rocks. My favourite parts of the painting are the boats and the reflections of their masts, and the bold slash of blue where water flows round the rocks. I think there is an airiness to this painting that captures the feeling of a light breeze along the river.
