My 2025 show in the Library Foyer - the Barbican Centre.
RIVERS & ROADS - a celebration of The Thames and The Great West Road as important, ancient and modern pathways in to London from the west.
* Richmond Art Society 'artist of the month' review..........
'Working in oil paints, Helena’s semi-abstract landscapes capture the changing light and dramatic tension shared by these iconic routes. Through bold use of light and shadow, and a palette of rich, intense colours, Helena’s studies capture the emotive and expressive beauty of both river and road.'
I was pleased to be shortlisted for The Royal Academy Summer Show 2025.
I was a finalist (with two works chosen), in the Richmond Arts Society Painting Competition.
PRINTS - NEW FOR 2026 ....
I have a strong interest in sustainability and often use vintage hard wood frames from the 40s and 50s. These are beautiful solid wood and have been reconditioned. Please see my Print Gallery for examples. These are on offs and cannot be replicated.
Further to that - I am pleased to be using an excellent print and frame service for top quality Giclee prints at very affordable prices. Follow the link to see all the many options .......... https://printumo.com/shop/helena-butler-art
