A lifelong fan of Van Gogh I'd known for a while that a sunflowerpainting was dormant within me. I saw a news story on Spotlight about sunflower oil farming here in Cornwall, and I saw images of yellow fields contrasting vividly against a blue sky and I knew I had my spark.
