A classic Helford scene, these fisherman cottages occupy the most amazing spot on the river, I always imagine what it must be like to wake up to that view. The challenge in painting this view is how to avoid it looking too “chocolate box”, I have used bold marks to capture the turquoise waters quite simply. It is a view I never tire of.
