The glorious sunrise colours over Grebe, I have kept this painting deliberately loose with bold brush strokes inspired by one of my artist heroes Van Gogh. Clouds and skies fascinate me, and the endless variations in colours and shapes that each sunrise and sunset affords. I love the orange tones, offset by violet shadows with a subtle hint of turquoise.
