Inspired by a page in my Helford sketchbook.
A swim at Grebe, in sunshine. Watching the heaving rain clouds inch closer, telltale vertical lines foretelling of rain at the river mouth. And then it came. Lashing down, everything soaked, paint running off the page. Beautiful, shimmering reflections, lush greens and golds. I pack up and retreat indoors.
Framed in a white wood slab frame, overall size is 61 x 50.5cm.
